Drunk texting. How do you deal the morning after?

Just curious if most people bother to apologise the day after sending embarrassing drunk messages.

Last night I sent some really weird messages in Facebook chat (nothing nasty and no embarrassing confessions / emotional outbursts, mainly just incoherent and very 'what the actual f***k'. The, uhm, victim just replied 'Er.' this morning). I messaged him to apologise but he's not replying, so I'm wondering if it's weird that I apologised or is it standard practice to do so?

What do you do in cases like this?

Drink less or get a kebab down ya before you start doing stupid **** like that.
