I know its because of hyperinflation in Germany, but why did the US care so much? At the end of the day reparations were imposed on Germany by the US, B and F. So what if they are suffering because of it- the US didnt need to get involved did they?

What didn't the US need to get involved in? German hyperinflation or WW1 in general?
