At St Marys there are quite a few spare parking places, although they do get quite stringent if the car is left for days (warning notice stuck to cars)

For information like this, I would suggest you contact [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] (for Marris House)

Please help...are St Mary's strict about a visitor staying in your room lik if my friend was to fly over to visit me and stay over for a night? I heard about a charge for this at one of the over accommodations!?

Its OFFICIAL (well its what I got told by reception at St Marys) Policy that you can have no one stay in your accom at any undergrad accom. Punishment is a small fine from what I believe.

Then again there is the matter of getting caught. As long as your mate doesnt cause any trouble, then they should be able to stay over without the university knowing. My flatmates have had people stay over a few times and they have had no problems

I had 10 lads up - had no probs. Just be discreet and don't advertise the fact. There is a residential street round the back of the lettered flats at St. Mary's. Don't park in anyone's way i.e. block drives and you'll be ok.

not a chance at marris house, the compound is the same as ricky road, with a smart card operated barrier for acess to cars. only ppl whose cars are registered (AND PAID) to be there can get in.
u cant even use someone elses card...i got a half an hour telling off and fine for doing this, and they check every single car that comes in against their records.
there is residential parking around ricky road / marris house area, but as it is so clopse to town, it is usualy busy...especialy on match days...and u have to pay. i think u can get visitor passes for over night but not 100% sure on that, and if friends or family are just dropping stuff off etc they will let u in during office hours.
