Black shirt & light blue jeans

Went shopping and bought a smart black shirt, going out tonight i thought about wearing black shirt, light blue jeans & smart black shoes. Choice between that or normal dark blue jeans & the above.

Flat mates like the dark & light combination, but i dont mind it either way. Anyone got an opinion of it?

light & dark, or just stick to the dark colours?

I always go for light jeans with a dark shirt. but i dont like wearing black shoes anymore, i'm into brown shoes...and finish it off with a brown leather belt.

also depends on your skin colour

I would generally never put black and blue together... light or dark. The one exception would be electric blue. I've seen it work on other people, though (light jeans and a black top).

Indeed you really do need to 'mix' your colours carefully and black and blue just don't go I'm afraid. Well to be honest black shirts are yuck full stop (proper fitted shirt I presume you mean, not rugger tops etc) but whatever floats your boat.

Try using differing shades of colours that are not too different when you mix and match with up stairs and down below. Natural colours down below are always a winner allowing you have a brasher coloured shirt, however TOO brash can be a big turn off for the fillies. You need to get the contrast right, totty love to see a guy who can co-ordinate, if you’re struggling why not ask a girl to help you? Or possibly a gay friend?

If you insist in wearing a black fitted shirt, go for the lighted coloured jeans.
 I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree, and say that black shirts do look good. I personally adore wearing a long sleeved black button-up shirt with a dark green waistcoat over the top, blue jeans and smart black shoes, and I've been complimented loads of times when wearing that combo. I'd agree that your complexion does dictate to an extent what you can wear, but I'd say go for it OP!

I've not seen any problem with combining black and blue as such, you just have to be very careful with the shade of blue. Also, black shirts can look very smart.

yeah, black and blue can go together, it just depends on the shade of blue. I'd personally go for the light jeans and dark top.
