If you looked up the word cuckold in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Owen Jones.

It actually wouldn't because he's a homosexual.

There's better examples of cucks in this world.

If all the self-proclaimed socialists voluntarily gave more of their income to the government, there would still be more money going to the government, even if all the non-socialists did not. So why aren't they doing this?

Why are you giving to the government then?

You'd be better of giving it to an actual charity instead if you want to help out your fellow human beings.

How are we meant to pay this extra tax. Why would pay it just so a government can continue with austerity. It would also make negligible difference.

I do both.

I like to think the government spends my money wisely on important factors in society anyway.

Why would it make a negligible difference if all of the people who are for increased taxation (of which there are a fair amount in this country), voluntarily paid more taxes? Some of the money would find its way to welfare programs, the NHS, education etc, which is much better than nothing, right? Why aren't you doing this?

But it really doesn't if we are honest with ourselves. Governments waste money all the time. Around 70% of what you paid would go on administration. If you are paying a charity that figure would be more like 10%.

Lmao pay more tax.

Somewhat strange coming from a socialist but I believe we need as little tax coming from working people as possible tbh.

I believe in equality of opportunity but if you are a hard working person then you should be paying as little necessary into the kitty.

Of course. Charity is great! But socialists don't seem to have any interest in charity, that is voluntary giving, they only seem to desire the forceful taking of money against people's will. Why is that?

Why don't you voluntarily pay more taxes?
1. Because a few well-off lefties giving more money to the treasury isn't going to do much about the issue they're actually trying to tackle, i.e social equality and responsibility.
2. Because many of them probably wouldn't be particularly happy with how the treasury is spending that money in the first place. Raising taxes only works in a socialist model if those taxes are actually being used for socialist aims, which isn't exactly the situation at the moment.

Well that certainly isn't true, a lot of socialists give to charity. In fact, I would wager that more socialists give to charity than non-socialists. Though I can't back that up with statistics.

Socialists are interested in the redistribution of wealth, whether that means voluntarily providing their own money, and forcefully taking others money.

Lets say all the Socialists in the UK paid more tax to the Government. Where would that money go? Chances are the Tories would lower taxes for the well off and rich.

So this is what Socialists do instead. We put our money into Cooperatives which in turn use that money on a loan basis to create lots of other Cooperative business else where. This provides jobs for people and ensures land, labor and capital are used for the benefit of ordinary people.

Its better to do it this way then surrender our wealth to Governments who aren't going to give it to those who need it. We have had Neo-Liberalism for the last 35 years. Why the hell would any Socialist fund Neo-Liberalism?
