i need to translate this sentence into french but i am not sure how. i think "a stroke of luck" is an idiom so so far i have: "Qui sait, je pourrais obtenir un coup de pot." but im not sure if this is correct.

    Please help and correct me

    Best wishes

Hey, yours makes sense although coup de pot is almost never used. I'd say instead:
Qui sait, peut-être j'aurai même de la chance!
    edit:
or: Qui sait, j'aurai peut-être de la chance!
or #2 (to stick closest to your original phrase):
Qui sait ? J'aurai peut-être un coup de chance.
