    I got a really high B in my psychology AS and i wanted to know if I need to re-sit to get an A* in the full A-level or can i still get one with the B in AS if I get and A* in the A2 paper? I am doing CIE A-levels by the way in case that changes anything.

    CIE is different in that you need to get a certain number of points over all the units. I'm doing CIE Music and for an A* I need 87/100 average in every unit, as A*= 348/400 in June 2014.

    For Psychology, as there are different components, the A* changes depending on the different components you do. Have a look here: http://www.cie.org.uk/images/233503-...-june-2014.pdf . The A* threshold seems to be around 140/200 depending on the units.
