    Hi guys,
I'm in my third year and I need to change my laptop. I currently have a toshiba satellite laptop, it's handled my CAD programs reasonably well so far but then again it's so heavy & has had a corrupted hard-drive at one point.

No I do not want a mac.
I can use a mac but I do prefer windows.

    Please recommend solutions.
Could you recommend a ow budget option first £200 - £400
and then an ambitious option £400 - £600.
I have a part time job, so I guess I could fork out a bit more than usual.

    Many thanks!
