Hi, i received my a-level results in August and i am now on a gap year and wish to start university in September 2016.

I'm travelling in the summer for a few weeks but for the rest of the year (now/october till sept,) i dont really have much planned, so i want to work to gain experience

But I don't want a generic job e.g. in tescos etc or as an admin/receptionist, I want to work or get work placements at places like IBM, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover etc, where i'd be a apprentice or trainee so to speak for a couple of months and get paid. I want to make between £10k - £15k by september. I looked at some but it's too late to apply, there';s also too much info out there, so please help simplify this for me.

Like what jobs or placements are there? Any useful links, i'm in a bit of a pickle.

    many thanks

Get a TEFL and teach abroad. Do your research and you can get free accommodation and a monthly allowance into four figures. If you get a reputable qualification (Trinity's TEFL is the best) then you can teach more or less in any country.

With proper research this allows you to travel, earn and have something impressive to put on your CV.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
