almost a month in, I hope you've settled in well, but do you actually cook a proper healthy meal 5/7 days a week? any easy ideas besides the usual oven pies?

Yes. I cook the vast majority of my meals from scratch with fresh ingredients. I do order the occasional takeaway though.

Usually I keep it simple with the odd experiment here and there, whereby I'll learn to make some random dish. XD

My advice is to learn how to cook your usual foodstuffs in different ways (pasta, rice, pitta, veg, meats, fish, etc.) and how to prepare different sauces. Then mix and match what you make. Get a good cookbook of recipes too for ideas. This is what I do.

Not at uni anymore. I always cook from scratch. I cook what I fancy. If I don't know how, I call family members for recipe or go on the internet.

I get 2 meals a day 5 days a week but at the weekend I try and cook in bulk, so I make 2 dinners at the weekend which will hopefully be 3 or 4 lunches that I don;t have to do much for

I'm cooking more now than the first couple of weeks, but it's just boring lentils and vegetables usually.

a healthy, balanced and cooked from scratch type eg. noodle stir fry with steamed veg, or say, lasagne with a serving of wedges...

I like to keep my cooking short and sweet (but nutritious), so finding diffferent vegetables and other good stuff to boil/roast and put with rice/pasta usually does the trick for me.

I have no time or energy for it (even though I love to cook).

I'm currently relying on local restaurants, college hall and the occasional takeaway.

Yeah. Get a slow cooker, makes making nice meals really easy as you just shove everything in and leave it for a few hours. And make sure you have a decent selection of herbs, spices and basics so you can always cook things you fancy.
