I've heard a lot of talk that if you got a D or below at AS you won't get any offers from university. Is this always true?
Say for example you got B C D E (creative, I know) at AS, and were planning on retaking some during your A2 year, would you be rejected?

It depends on the university and the course you were applying to

Like someone mentioned, it depends where you apply. If you're predicted BCC and you apply for ABB unis, expect a rejection. You have to be smart with your choices, so for your AS grades, I'd imagine you'd be predicted something like BCC, (so long as you drop the E grade) so the majority of unis that you apply for should be asking for those grades or 260 UCAS points, then you should have one asking for CCC and another uni asking for BBC. With a good ps and reference, you're likely to receive offers. If you happen to exceed your predicted grades, adjustment is always a viable option, but don't jump the gun too soon, play it safe. (Btw I had CCD as AS and still got offers)
