So this female at work, who I thought was really attractive.

I would talk to her every now and then. Intially she would give me word answers to stuff I would say like how was your weekend or your abit early for the fashion show etc

Over time our conversations got longer and she would intiate conversation and we laugh and joke around.

When I moved to a my new job, I message her on facebook but she just ignored me which is I accept.

The question I have is, should I have given up at a much earlier stage ? Like when I first started talking to her and she would give me one world answers.

Was that her trying to tell me she doesnt find me attractive and I should leave her alone ? Did I waste time trying to impress her ?

    Im abit lost really

I don't think that you wasted your time- you can never really know what someone else is thinking but if she really didn't enjoy your company she would have made it obvious. There are all kinds of reasons why she isn't talking to you on facebook and whilst there might be signs that she didn't like you, the fact that you got on well suggests there is a chance that she may have liked you back. Everyone is very individual when it comes to flirting- some people take a while to get to know each other and develop feelings and others feel an attraction to one another straight away.
