Sigh. Just because you see a few black people do it doesnt mean all of them do =_=

Its just a fist bump: every race does it. At the end of the day its just a greeting, and no different to a hand shake (unless you're in a formal environment).

I have seen overwhelmingly more white people do this than blacks.

Loads of people greet each other like that (if you can call it a greeting )

However, I've never done it. I just prefer the usual handshake/hug like most people

I think a better question is why all black people refer to each other as "Brother", "Sister" or Ni**er"?

We have love for each other. Actually Its just the way it is. It is what it is. And for the "Ni****" bit. White Americans and 17th to 19th Century Whites used it as a racist word. It means slave but we just turned it into a Brotherly word.

My mother who is black will say hello to any black person she sees, and any black person she encounters will say hello. About 99% of the time. I asked her why she did this. She said "we just do." I think it's a cultural thing.

Yeah, OP, this thread is a fail.

Fist bumps are race-blind, because everyone loves fist bumps. :awesome:

Funny thing is ive only ever received fistbumps from white people. I usually recieve the iconic hand shake and man hug from black people.

black people tend to say hello to each other because we are in the white mans land, its good to see black people flourishing.

You speak about us but yet you use a hand from a person of a white race.. '~'
80% of the time, I go for a handshake, it was probably in year 10 that I 'spudded' the most.
