Constantly feeling crap - any ideas??

Right.. I got a really bad case of bacterial tonsillitus back in november. - took all the antibiotics etc i was given. Since then though, I havn't felt the same at all.
My energy levels are right down, even now, nearly 5 months on. I'll wake up fine in the morning then after a few hours of being awake I'll hit a huge wall of tiredness and lightheadedness. Since november, after drinking alcohol I also feel quite ill (never happened before) - symptoms being exaggerated tiredness+ lightheadedness.

I don't really understand why this is happening - I get enough sleep, I eat fairly healthily, I get exercise.. :s-smilie: :s-smilie: :s-smilie:

any ideas people?

I can sympathise with you as I have spent much of this year being ill with one thing or another. I put it down to not being happy on my course and therefore effectively losing the will to recover (plus the fact I've spent a lot of time in hospital as a result and I almost lose the will to live when I'm in hospital). Because my illnesses were caused by hating my course, I decided to drop out of uni and since then I have felt a lot better. I am not suggesting that this is what you should do but it would definitely be good make the most of the Easter break. It's just that constant illness can often have an underlying cause and it is always better to treat the cause than just the symptoms.

You need to go see a Doctor.

I suggest no alcohol over easter...lots of early nights and early-ish mornings.

And see a doctor

Now, it might be a bit extreme, but have you considered that it might be diabetes. It is certainly worth getting tested at any rate.

Right. Have gone to a doctor. He ordered a whole range of blood tests etc... In his words... "your liver could be a little groggy"... hmm.

Hope it goes well. Whatever happens you could well be on the way to being your usual self again :] Remember to stay positive. You won't recover well if you are negative.
