I want to study business information technology at Kent. I've heard the Canterbury campus is nice but I've heard a lot of negative things about the Medway campus.
Does Medway have a lot going on such as things to do and nightlife ?

Im at Medway. People make it sound far worse than it is. It's small, but it's nice. There's always events going on, and people from Canterbury even come down for medways events. There's also a free shuttle so we can go to events up in cants too. The campus is quite small and not far from Liberty, but since when does small equal bad?

The campus is about 10-15Minutes from Liberty quays (which is probably where you'll live) but there's a bustop opposite and a free shuttle to campus if you're early enough. You'll see quite a few people on campus because we share with Greenwich and CCCU and it's very easy to mingle and make friends with them too, but obviously your classes will consist only of uni of Kent students.

There's societies you can join too, and there's entertainment and food nearby, not to mention the massive shopping centre bluewater which is about half an hour away. I've been to the pentagon shopping centre before (which is a lot closer than bluewater) it has all the essential shops/banks you'd need, but if you're wanting to go for a shopping spree, bluewater is your place, it's reminds me of a smaller Westfield. Asda is a 5 minute walk and tesco, dominoes, cargo (which is kind of like a restaurant for students idk what you call them lol) and subway are about 30 seconds away. There's a pharmacy 5 minutes away. The train station is a 5-6 minute taxi drive that costs a fiver. Easy access to Birmingham and London from either gillingham or Chatham station. I've heard dodgy stories about Chatham ngl, but I've never seen anything bad or out of the blue. Erm yeah, Don't think I've missed anything!

There's a club/bar called bliss which is where pretty much all of the medways events are held. It's good! And the drinks being cheap is always a plus

Yeah, people are always throwing flat parties! Great way to have fun and meet people

It sounds good, I'm really considering on firming Kent as it seems like a nice place to study and the course is perfect

Lads, I'm Muslim so I don't drink and that but still would want to go out, party etc.. will I fit in with others at Medway?
I'm thinking of insuring it for Pharmacy
Hi,

I thought I would mention that many of our students here at Medway School of Pharmacy are Muslim.

There are societies to join where you can meet other people. I believe you would fit in perfectly, especially as a pharmacy student.

Regards,
Sammi

Hey, I've been studying here for a year now. The night life isn't great and I was lucky to have been able to stay with my parents. However, one thing that I did take away with me was the great "hangover service" lol. After a long night partying there's nothing better than a really cheap fry up from one of the many local cafes or there is a really good local company that I found. Shebakes is a really cool business, that provides baked goods from cookies to pancakes to whole cakes and even milkshakes at your request and delivers them to your door. What else is really good, she gives discounts to the uni students. Her social media presence isn't all that great yet, she has just opened an instagram accout and a twitter. But I would really recommed. Hmu if you want her info or any other general info about the course i study, social events etc xx
