I know there are probably SO many threads about A-level motivation but I wanted to make one of my own.

I am starting to seriously LACK motivation to study for A-levels. I do all my homework but sometimes I just get so confused and I don't understand certain things (ESPECIALLY IN CHEMISTRY- i didn't realise practicals and experiments would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO significant in OCR B salters!!!!) and it really puts me of and I start to feel stupid and unmotivated.

I know I should ask my teacher for help and I do. I attend workshops and booster classes etc but sometimes it all just gets too much. I have homework due tomorrow and I don't understand it at ALL!

And it doesn't help that there's always that one person in each class that's so clever and does everything right.

I certainly knew A-levels would be extremely difficult but i thought if i stayed organised, bought all the books and stayed on top of my work, I wouldn't find it too hard. But I do.

Everything just seems like such mess and I'm starting to get SOOO stressed out yet it's only been half a term!

How does everyone stay motivated ALL the time?! It seems impossible..

Picture the end goal, as cliche as it sounds, think of why you began the a levels you did. Another very important point, don't compare yourself to anyone. Do the research you can, revise when you can and relax when you need to, be as good of a student as you can, and only care about YOU.

Take a deep breath and relax. I wish you well, I'm sure you'll do great.

Relax... You have two years. Stay active and socialize through your first one; studying isn't as important.

I disagree. I think there should be a balance. The first year is still considered important- especially for predicted grades.
