I have just started AS and am studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Psychology. My GCSE grades were not the greatest (4A*, 6A, 2B) and I want to study medicine. So far I'm enjoying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology very much but I'm hating core maths although for some reason I'm doing very well in stats. I want to know whether dropping maths at the start of A2 will lower my chances in getting into a medical school. I know that it is yet too early to think about dropping a subject but I honestly do not think that I will be able to cope with maths at A2. I'm hoping that I will achieve an A at AS maths but a B would be what I am probably expected to get. Any thoughts?

Unless you want to apply to cambridge (the only uni to require 3 sciences/maths for medicine), it won't affect your chances whatsoever. Carry on the 3 you will do best at, more important to get 3As than take maths if it's your weaker subject.

I see, thanks for replying so fast XD. Not that I am specifically trying to get into Cambridge or Oxford but I would have thought that Psychology would count as a science.
