# Fractional indices watch

Announcements
1. I need help and someone to explain it clearly
27/ -2 over 3
2. 272/3 is the same as (271/3)2 So you can just do it in multiple steps, like that.

First, we do the power inside the bracket, (271/3) which is just cube root 27 (With fractional indices, it is 'n' root 'a' where a1/n is the power being solved)

After that, you square what you get, hope this helped!

edit: If it is a negative power, it becomes 1 over your answer, e.g. 1/16
