    I know that i will need to do an LPC straight after undergrad, but would i need to do a placement year? i know most of my friends that are doing other subjects are, but i cant find any unis that do placement years...

    the only university i know that offer it is surrey. its very unusal for law.

    At my Uni they don't offer it as part of the course directly but they do encourage you to out there and apply for placements independently at around November to January during 2nd Yr. Your Law careers department will help you with your CV etc. I'm sure at most Uni's they'll allow you to take the year off to do the placement.

    Doing a sandwich placement between 2nd and 3rd is hugely beneficial. You need relevant work experience because it shows big firms especially that you've have experienced what's it like working a in a legal environment and your sure its what you want to do. I cannot stress the importance of relevant legal experience it gives you a huge advantage
