so i just needed like a guideline for the of mice and men type questions! is their any examples you guys could give me for:
    1) charcter question - "explain how the writer presents the character__in this extract"

2)language- "comment on how language is used to present ___in this extract"

3)another part of the novela- "explore the significance of violence in one other part of the novela"

For the extract questions. You should keep your answers brief. For example:

    Point + Evidence

We learn that Crooks is very clever because he had a "pile of dirty books" on his book shelf. This shows that he has resorted to reading books in order to ignore the discrimination because he has nothing else to do and he has gained a vast knowledge but in 1940s America, this is ignored because of his race.

    Next point.....

We did an explore question on loneliness. Here's my outline:

Paragraph 1: Related context and introduction - for example, I did what lead to people being lonely - the Great Depression making people unemployed. People traveled elsewhere to find work ect.

Paragraph 2-5: How Crooks is lonely

Paragraph 6-9: How Curley's Wife is lonely

Paragraph 10-13 How Candy is lonely

Paragraph 14-17 (If I had time) How George and Lennie are lonely

Paragraph 18: Conclude: who do I think is the loneliest? Sum it up.
“Yanny” or “Laurel”
