I passed my foundation year and am now doing Mechanical engineering First year at Brunel.
I was thinking about transferring to a better university for next year.
    Is that possible?
Which unis are good for Mechanical Engineering?
Any tips and advice is welcome.
    Thank you

You should start sending emails to Universities that you are interested for transferring to and see if they accept transfers.

It depends on the University, you have to email them and ask..

No idea but I would assume most unis prefer to have their own students from the foudation year go into their courses. But I am guessing transferring in year 2 in not impossible. Good luck.
