This guy is former member of the Trotskyist Workers Power Group (not even joking) who later became editor for Newsnight on The Beeb and people say the BBC isn't leftist?

I agree with you about BBC bias. But the article is an interesting take on the EU.

and as such his opinion on anything is irrelevant. I'm supposed to listen to the ex communist third way lot with their incredibly pro EU project? Or ex communist Tories? Communists, communists every where. Anyway having read some of his books he is no longer a Trotskyist.

Yet here he is writing against EU authoritarianism. How soviet.

What exactly is the problem with left wing people having positions in the media? Should only people with the correct views be aloud to filter through and given a platform to speak? Like in the communist republic of china? You lot with your red scaring have more in common with modern day communists regimes than leftists like Paul Mason ironically. China's communist party enforce their rigid version of neoliberlism with no dissent aloud, why don;t you go live over there if you like that kind of thing so much. Horseshoe theory indeed.

If you look at my posts you will know that socialism makes me see red. In the case of Mason "it takes one to know one".

If you hate China you will love "sesame credit" : http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/d412385a-6...968cf791a.html

I love China but hate their government.

Well the first reason is that communists are dangerous and subversive.

Also we are forced to pay for the BBC to lie to us constantly. If they were paid by voluntary payments then it wouldn't be so bad.

he wasn't editor of newsnight you strawberry, he was economics editor; and the current newsnight editor is chris cook - is he left wing?
And do you seriously base your view on whether an institution is biased in one direction on one individual?!

But of course why focus on mason's arguments, merits or lack of, when you can ad hominem.
