    deregulation - removal of rules and regualtions on firms
    privatization = transfer of firms from public to private sector

    what kind of rules do they remove in deregulation?

    deregulation, they deregulate the market by allowing firms to enter the market by decreasing barriers to entry such as legal licenses. therefore increasing the number of firms and competitive pressures in the market, with the aim of making the market more efficient.

    privatisation, is basically when the ownership of firms are transfered from government/public ownership to private ownership
