I was just wondering if Computer Science often went into clearing. At the moment I think Durham is my first choice come the beginning of October, but I am a bit worried if I will get the grades I need.
Does anyone know what Uni's went into clearing last year for Computer Science, and what the grades needed where?

Every university does.
Even Oxford and Cambridge fail to fill their quotas each year because of the appalling quality of the current applicants. However they just bite the bullet, take a smaller number into computer science and take more into the courses with better applicants. The lesser universities go into clearing and try to get more overseas applicants.
martyn; which uni's are you turning down for durham?
None, I will be putting Durham as my firm choice. Not sure about what I will put for my insurance, as my heart is only set on Durham. I am just concerned I might not get the grades I need (BBC).
why are you rejecting them for durham? i snooped around and found that you have offers for both
Nosy or what !
Well York offered me AAB, and there is no way in hell I am going to get that. I did actually stay at York for a week in summer 2006 on a Headstart course, it was lovely to be honest and York is undoubtably a great Uni.
I got an offer of CCC from Surrey Uni, and I went there for an open day in November. I just was not terribly impressed with the Uni and I did not feel it was the right place for me.
I love the collegiate system in Durham, although the course is slighty better in York. Durham just seems more homely to me, and I feel I would fit in better there, they also gave me a nice offer !
well durham was my highest rated choice, but i love it there so i'm happy.
I hope you get your grades! The only positive part of doing a vocational course like i am is that you pretty much know what grades you are going to achieve half way through the course.
