If I received AABD at AS levels, but dropped the lowest grade at A2 and therefore went in with AAB, would it be realistic to go for an AAA/AAB uni? What sort of unis should I apply for?

You have grades AAB, so yes, that is realistic. What subject do you want to study?

I don't know much about that subject, but with AAA/AAB I think you should apply universities like Exeter, Kent, Surrey, and UEA. (Maybe find a couple at this level, and a couple with lower requirements?)
