Ive been really struggling with my attendance, this year and last. Its being dealt with, I just wasnt sure where else to post this question.
What im worried about is that im in year 11 now and really, really dont want to fail my gcses.
My parnts have also been getting upset and angry because theyre scared theyre going to get fined or go to prison for me being off so much. ._. I know they wont go to prison, the school knows whats going on. But theyve been so worried about that now im worrying about it.
Does anyone know exactly how the law handles absences due to health issues?

You absolutely must keep written doctors reports to explain all your absences.
you could also get a written understanding of the situation from the school.
otherwise you should be ok. but worth checking with the school.
