Four. At AS you do two - P1 and either M1 or S1 - and at A2 again you do two, P3 and either S1, S2, M1 or M2 depending on your AS modules.

For example, I did P1 and S1 at AS (I got 49/50 in S1!! Best decision ever ) and at A2 I'm doing P3 and M1. Some of my classmates are doing P3 and S2 though.

So if you want to do entirely mechanics modules, you'll do P1 M1 at AS and then P3 M2 at A2.

Hope that helped! Good luck

I believe it's 4.
For an A level qualification you have to take Papers 1 and 3.
With those two,
If you take Mechanics (M1 and M2) Papers 4 and 5
If you take Statistics (S1 and S2) Papers 6 and 7
If you take one from either (M1 and S1) Papers 4 and 6
