I have worked for Lloyds Banking Group for the past three years but am now looking to work for a smaller firm in a marketing role. The company have taken on interns as part of the Santander Intern Scheme. The stipulations for the matched funding on this Scheme are either being a last year student or a recent graduate (1-2 years). I left University four years ago. Santander pay 50% of the wage and the employer pay the other 50%.

I am happy to work for the wage being offered as part of the internship (roughly £800 per month) but looking to see if there are any other options for the employer to receive this matched funding. Can they employ me as part of any other schemes where I am technically underemployed? Are there any Government Initiatives?

I am 28 years old and have an MA and MSc. Any help would be appreciated.
