need more in my life

i would say my life is quite average. but i feel i dont do enough. im at college most of the day then after college i study. i also have a boyfriend who i see 3/4 times a week. Other than that i dont seem to have anyting in my life. I feel as though my life is a bit empty. i feel upset all the time as other people are doing things and i just seem to be stuck doing nothing. Is there anything i can do? or somple activities? or things to get involved in? I seem to lack motivation and half the time cant be bothered to do things that i think of anyway. i just feel so down, and think whats the point?
Anyone help?

You have a boyfriend, that's more than some people :p:

But in seriousness, how about a part-time job? Just for something to do and a new scene. Earning your own money is great for confidence and mood too. Just a thought.

My boyfriend is amazing, when im with him i couldnt be happier. but we live 20mins by car away from each other and buses dont tend to run that route regular so its difficult. i feel upset when i cant see him either.

And as for a part time job, its a good idea, i just seem to have problems finding anythin gin my area!

I was in the exact same position as you (well, worse off, no girlfriend  ) so I hope my experience will prevent you going down the road I did. College is a great time to explore yourself and expand your interests. Try and join a club, find a really involved hobby or do some volunteering (a great way to discover interests you didn't know you had) one day a weekend so that you have a day each week where study doesn't come into your head at all.

There are many things you can do; for example I'm a rail engineer on a preserved railway. Far from being an anorak thing, it keeps me fit, enables me to socialise with people very different from me, gives me some responsibility and gets me away from the home/school thing for a day so I can force myself not to think about doing any work. I also spend one of my free afternoons each week helping Infant School children to learn to read (Brings back memories of Biff and Chip books  ) which is really satisfying. When I start Uni, I want to join the student branch of the St. John Ambulance and learn and practise First Aid. There's plenty out there you can do, it's knowing where to look for opportunities, and knowing what you want to do with yourself.

Volunteering really makes you feel satisfied that you're making a difference somewhere, whether you donate an hour a week or a whole day, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to you as a 'third life' away from home and school (plus it'll shine on your UCAS app if you haven't applied yet)

My boyfriend lives a 5 hour £45 ish journey away. 20mins is nutin.
sorry. any excuse to bring him up.

back to the point. Get a hobby. what do you enjoy? art? dance? drama? any particular sport? a readin group? athough you should choose something outside your setudy area, sport is great to keep you healthily, physically, emotionally (you'll feel you have more in your life, make new friends, feel more confident and though you are achieving something) and mentally (less prone to stress, depression, etc). find a lot of local clubs and youth stuff and go for it.

an instrument is good. something classical will make people impressed, guitar is cool, drums are energetic and way fun . . . plus it'll look great on your CV.

Go to find a project, and Wales is listed as a region where a project may be found.

You could volunteer and make a difference in other peoples lives. Even an afternoon a week in an old peoples home would make their day.

Or you could stop comparing yourself to others, and see that you do have a life, that you're lucky you're at college, have a nice boyfriend, have time to worry about things such as what's 'missing' from your life...

I used to feel like you are feeling now! I was so bored, had nothing to do ect. So last week I decided to volunteer at a Primary School and its so much fun! The kids are lovely (most of the time) and I feel like Im making a difference. I would definately recommend volunteering or getting a job (which is pretty hard to find mind you)
