I'm good at initially starting a conversation and making friends, I just suck at maintaining friendships.

I have loads of acquaintances but barley anyone I'd consider a decent mate.

It seems to follow the same pattern: I'll get in to a conversation with someone, get one well, make them laugh etc, see them a few more times then they seem to get pretty bored of me

It's the same with guys. I've met several nice guys since I've been here and initial conversations always go well then it just fizzles out

Any suggestions? Is this the same for anyone else ?

I've just stopped focusing on making proper friends just yet, i'll probably be more likely to make meaningful friendships as time goes on and certain trends start to emerge with my interactions with people
