Hi, I just wanted to write a quick message about self worth. It is something very close to my heart and although I do hope there isn't anyone feeling worthless for who they are, I know that there are still many people who suffer from this daily. I have come to realise that no one should have to change who they are just because someone else says they should. Therefore, I'm not saying that I want you to change based on what I'm going to say, I just want you to understand where I'm coming from. Afterwards, you can decide on whether you think you should make small adjustments to your life because I think there are too types of change: change that is caused by peer pressure and done forcefully (which doesn't usually work out), and change by choice (which usually has better outcomes).
In order to change by choice, one has to develop and improve certain aspects of their life in order to live life in a slightly different way. Please don't be afraid to make mistakes. This is something that I used to struggle with a lot and I'm glad I made the choice to overcome it. I did make some bad mistakes along the way but I they helped me to learn from them and never do them again. Although I do still make mistakes here and there, I am generally a much more happy person than before. Remember: everyone makes mistakes.
Making such changes could in turn impact your view of others, but most importantly, yourself. Most people are very self conscious and this is why they don't feel they have much self worth. I would be lying if I said that I never feel self conscious. However, I have learnt that instead of dwelling on my mistakes and imperfections, I should focus more on my successes and what I've done correctly. Sure, mistakes should be used to prevent that occurring again, but it is equally important to recognise one's achievements.

My underlying message is that if you wish to change some aspects of your life in order to gain more self worth please be:
    • Happy (smile whenever you can)
    • Loving (random acts of kindness shows others how much you care)
    • Loyal (stay true to your friendships and relationships)
    • Calm (don't get overstressed by small problems)
    • Healthy (regular exercise and balanced diet)
    • Strong (when your opponent in battle is trying to make you weak)
    • Independent (you are enough as yourself)
    • Dependant (even the most successful people need someone/ something to rely upon every now and again)
    • Humble (don't brag about your successes but feel a sense of self achievement)
    • Beauty (true beauty lies with being yourself)
    • Confident (proud of who you are)
    • Supportive (help others to realise their self worth)
    • Lucky (to have an opportunity to make such changes)

I really like this, and thought it would fit in nicely. I hope you like it too:
    Thanks for reading.

I'm not saying that any of this is easy. We all go through different struggles in life so you can't determine how easy or hard the person next to you will find it to know their true self worth. It's more about learning how to love yourself more and being open to the idea than everything suddenly working out. It does take time and determination but it is so worth it in the end.
