I'm almost definitely moving schools for sixth form and I'm currently at a comprehensive school. If I got the grades I would go to to a grammar school, but I'm not sure of the pros and cons of going to a mixed or all girls sixth form? Also they do different subjects (the ones that offer my ideal choices are all girls)
    Help?

So I changed from an all girls school to a mixed sixth form at a boy's school where a third of the year is girls (in my a2 physics class I'm one of two girls out of 12). I don't regret my choice at all as I much prefer the mixed environment & there's a lot less cliqueness. One thing you may have to bear in mind is that there will probably a degree of sexism, more or less depending on the girl/boy split, that can get uncomfortable.

However, I think ultimately it comes down to what the school itself has to offer, and if the all girl's school offers your ideal choices then possibly go for that and possibly 'sacrifice' the mixed environment.

Thanks, I go to a mixed school at the moment and it can get pretty annoying at times, but I was kind of hoping boys might mature for sixth form?? I don't have anything to compare it to but I have heard that girls schools can get cliquey. At the end of the day I care more about enjoying my subjects than social circles but I'll bare this in mind
