At getting in university? I'm really worried, I want to be a secondary school p.e teacher or a lecturer in a college one day, I would really want to do sports science in university as I expect it will be more theory based than sports coaching and Funiilly enough I M just better at theory work. The problem is that I last year I done the BTEC subsidiary diploma in sport and unfortunately I only got a pass grade at the end of the year, not because I could not do the work but because I took a few months off because my mom died of cancer so I had to miss some units out, quite gutted about that now.
I am now doing the extended diploma and I am very focused, so far getting distinctions on all my assignments and I am in the right frame of mind to try to get the highest grade I can, I also need to resit maths and English.
Will having a average grade from last year affect my UCAS points and chances in getting into a university? Is there anything I can do? Should I be worrying? Should I just give up lol, I really want to go to university and get a degree, my worst nighmare is finishing this course off and not getting accepted to university.

Don't give up hope at all. Most of the top universities that accept a BTEC will be looking for a mixture of D* & D grades. Some of the lower ranked universities will accept BBB on the extended diploma so it depends where you want to study. You will need to have at least a GCSE grade C in English and Maths, which is compulsory for all sport and exercise courses.
