So, a friend of mine has had tooth problems for years and has had to have silver teeth implanted. He told me this is due to a (medical) drug he was given when he was a baby that saved him from dying. He said that this drug caused the growth of weak enamel on his teeth hence the dental problems.

He is 16 now, so the drug may or may not still be in use.

So, does anyone know of any (medical) drug that would be given to a dying baby that would cause the growth of weak enamel. I know that this is not much to go on.

Please only respond if you have medical knowledge

    Thanks

I just googled it, from what I gathered thats a type of broadspectrum antibiotic. Do you have any ideas of what it's used to treat?
