I was wondering could anyone please help me with the following chemistry question that i need to do for my homework.
In the recent horse-meat scandal, some foods were found to contain horse-meat. In addition, there was a worry that horse-meat may be contaminated with the drug phenylbutazone. This drug was withdrawn from use in humans due to the side-effects experienced by a number of patients. In particular, at a therapeutic dose of 3.0 mg/kg of body mass, one in approximately thirty thousand patients developed aplastic anaemia.
Phenylbutazone has been detected at a level of 4.00 parts per billion by mass in a horsemeat contaminated beef burger. (1 billion = 1 x 10^9).
Calculate the number of 250g burgers a 75kg person would need to eat in order to consume the therapeutic dose of phenylbutazone.
