Hi, I'm in AS at the moment. I have a chance to do the EPQ at my sixth form and I'm really interested in it as I would develop new skills and look deeply into something I have a passion for while gaining a qualification!
The problem is that I have a very busy life than most people (don't ask why) and as much as I would like to do it, I cannot have it take up loads of time when I'm already juggling things around.
So I need an honest opinion, how hard/time consuming was it? It would be great if I can have some information on how much you spent on it weekly and etc...
I am aiming for an A in it.

I did mine in two weeks (but it was a critical analysis essay so didn't require research)

If you don't think you have time then don't worry. But if you could it would be a good stand point for discussion on PS or at interview (if applicable)

Would you mind if I asked what you mean by critical analysis in this context? Is that like, litcrit or something?

I did an EPQ which was based on Xenotransplantation (so contained a lot of science and a bit of ethics).
Took me a couple of days to research the relevant information.
Wrote up the whole EPQ (report + log) in a week over the Christmas holidays.

So it is doable in a short period of time.
Btw, I got an A* in it.
