Do some of the top universities accept BTEC courses (lets say ICT)

Yes, I believe the only ones who dont accept at all for computing based courses are Imperial and Cambridge, are you doing a BTEC Level 3 in IT?

these are the best unis you could get into with between DDM-D*D*D* in an Extended Diploma in IT(some will require Maths where stated):

Oxford (inc. Maths A level) - DDDA*
UCL - DDD
Southampton - DDD-D*DD
Bath - D*D*D*
Kings College London - DDD
Queen Mary - D*DD
Royal Holloway (where I study Computer Science) - DDD
Surrey- DDD
Durham (inc. Maths or Foundation) - DDDA
UEA - DDM
Birmingham - DDD
Nottingham - DDD
Manchester - D*DD
Leeds - D*DD
Liverpool - D*DD
Lancaster - DDD
Bristol (inc. Maths) - DDDA
Cardiff - D*D*D*
