    Basically I'm having a really hard time understanding the vocabulary in the listening paper for higher but I need an A* to get into my choice sixth form do you guys know how I could improve my grade FAST because my mocks are in 2 months and I need good results.

    Please feel free to share experiences like going from a C to A and how you did it

    The most important thing is to know what you're listening for. If you don't understand the words, sorry but you might actually have to memorise some vocab.

    If you struggle with the context, try and find some French stuff to listen to. I found that watching french films (with subtitles) really helped, by the end of it I was barely watching the subtitles because you just get used to listening to it.

    If possible, have actual conversations with people in french, to help your understanding of grammar etc

    Do all the listening past papers on AQA. If it's a multiple choice question, listen out for words related to the answers you get given and sometimes you can kind of discount some answers because they are just ridiculous. On the non multiple choice ones, just write key points, don't be too precise because you may write something inaccurate. Try and do just enough to get the marks if you get what I mean
