Top note taking tips:
Make key ideas colourful, underline key words
Taking notes is not simply rewriting. Think of your own way to present the information on the page, for example expand/bullet points ideas using funky arrows.
Every time you finish a page of notes read what you have written, be it in your head or out loud. Only then will you find note taking useful

My best note-taking tip is to convert key ideas, concepts or methods into flashcards, and to review these when you first wake up in the morning and before you go to bed at night.
