Do Universities Like Music BTEC? watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm currently doing my GCSEs and looking at colleges. I was thinking of doing 3 a levels and a music BTEC.

I plan to hopefully go to a Russel group university. I'm not entirely sure of what I want to study yet but I was thinking of possibly doing a dual degree of music and something else. (maybe philosophy or psychology.)

If I was to do something music related like that, do you think a good university would like that or would they prefer the a level?

I would strongly recomend looking at the course pages on the websites of various Russell Group unis and seeing whether they accept the BTEC qualification. I know Oxford definitely doesn't and imagine Cambridge is exactly the same. Snobby as it may sound, I think in all honesty most Russell Group unis - if not all - would prefer you to do the A Level. But it's something you could investigate further

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
