    I attended school A from year 7-11.
I moved to school B for year 12, for personal and health reasons I wasn't entered for exams and withdrew myself from the school (happened mid march)
I returned to school A starting A levels again the following September and have completed AS and now doing A2.

I'm hoping to apply to KCL, QMUL ( may swap for UEA), Exeter, Newcastle and Brighton. As a majority are RG unis I'm sure they would want an explanation as to why I spent a year gaining no qualifications however my reference said they won't mention it in the reference? What do you reckon?

Your referee should mention what happened in Y12. It's perfectly acceptable to leave a school for health reasons (and personal reasons, assuming that that's not a euphemism for failing your courses miserably!). It will help to put your application into context and ensure that the admissions tutors can make a holistic decision.

Try and find what each uni says about references and mitigating circumstances and show these to your referee if they are difficult about it.

I reapplied without stating anything about resitting and got an offer from Warwick

As said above, your referee should definitely mention it in your reference

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about doing year 12 twice. I had to put down EEUU as my first year 12 grades and I have an offer from Cardiff
