    Hey everyone...

Ive been on a contraceptive pill for 4 years now. The reason why I was put on it was because I have a very heavy menstruation cycle and I used to get very sick with the pain. the pill eases the pain and reduces the flow. I was taken off the beginning of the year for a month and I went back to square one and had to start taking it again. My GP told me that I can get something that will decrease the flow but wont change my hormones. I have picked up a lot of weight and also have a change in my skin. is there something I can get that will be the same as the pill but not have funny effects?

Please dont recommend a different diet because my diet never changed from 4 years ago lol

Have you spoken to your GP about this? There are different types of pill which work in different ways (don't ask me how!) and have different effects on people so it could be worth trying a different one and seeing if the same thing happens again. Have you ever been tested for PCOS? I'm no expert but those symptoms sound pretty much identical to me, see what your GP says anyway.

Edit: also look into other contraception methods, I don't know a lot about them but sure other people on here do and what works for them.
