Hi all, my son has his heart set on London college of fashion, halls coming in at £200 a week.. We have a daughter currently in her 2nd year elsewhere £95 wk, so manageable with loan & a top up from us... Just wondering how you guys manage it, really don't want to shatter his dreams!

It basically comes down to a combination of
    - student loan (you get more for living in London)
    - part time work
    - parental generosity
    - university bursaries

Student finance is changing from 2016, so do rerun the calculations - don't assume your son will get the same as your daughter from the government
