I would love to be a pilot but can't afford the training, the best scheme I have found so far is with British airways future pilot scheme. Is there anything else I can do?

You can try joining the RAF

Also, joining the RAF won't help you to become a commercial pilot. Only consider the military if you want to be a military pilot.

I'm in a very similar position. BA future pilot scheme is the hardest thing to get in. More that 10,000 people able every year and only 30-40 get chosen. Many other airlines offer similar schemes, but still have a very small acceptance rate, but higher in some cases. www.ctcaviation.com/partnership/

You could also get a job, in the aviation industry if you wish, and save. I know someone that dropped out of school so they could save up, but I don't recommend that. Now they're applying for an apprenticeship with airbus.

There are special banks and lenders who specialise in flight training loans. Some examples of these are, http://www.bbvauk.com/TLEU/tleu/jsp/...ilot/index.jsp, www.pilotfinance.com/students/availability/

I found BALPAs PDF on how to become an airline pilot really useful when I was first researching into becoming a pilot. http://www.balpa.org/My-Airline/Airl...rack-2013.aspx
