I initially applied for a 3 year course, then enjoyed my first year and changed to a 4 year course last week. Now I am applying for internships I have realised companies want penultimate year students, should I change back to the 3 year course for my applications, or does the flexibility for me to change between the two anywhere up until the start of my 3rd year entitle me to apply as someone on a 3 year course? I don't want to be dishonest, and I would consider leaving after my 3rd year if I were offered a job by the firm I intern at, but I don't want to mess my uni around with constantly swapping courses.

For context I am studying computer science and applying to banks in London.

You have to absolutely make sure that you can switch back to a 3 year course after you've secured an internship. If you can, stating you're on a 3 year course is completely within reason.

Good luck. Which divisions are you applying to?
