    Hi,
I'm going to RAF Cranwell tomorrow for my CBAT, on Monday.
I understand that i must wear smart clothing during testing and in the mess after 6 pm. However, must i arrive in a suit and tie? I'm not too eager to sit on a train for 2 hours in a tight suit, that is why i am asking!

    Many thanks!

I know it doesn't help you, and I seem to recall everyone turning up in suits, but maybe getting a suit that fits might make your train journey better

Everyone wore suits at my CBAT. You can wear smart casual (no jeans but smart trousers, shoes and a shirt) for your journey and then change into your suit when you get into your room, before you head to the mess.
