Recently broken up with my girlfriend and I wanna get out there and just maybe spend some time talking to/dancing with some other girls to take my mind off things and get over her (which seems to be hard for me to do given the nature of our breakup), yet all my friends are too busy to come with me for about a week or so. So my question is:

Is it weird to go to a club or bar alone? (Keeping in mind that I am an 18 year old guy, and a student)

No. I just want to take my mind off things and be able to go somewhere and have a good time, and spending time around other girls/potentially even pulling wouldn't hurt

Just wait until your friends can go with you? A week isn't that long and personally if I saw a guy out on his own trying to pull it would really put me off and make me wonder WHY he had to come out alone. Take the week to look after yourself then go out clubbing once your friends can go with you. That way if nothing happens you won't beat yourself up about it and you still have your friends there to have a good night with. Also, I wouldn't say its safe for anyone to go out drinking alone.

I'd say just go out solo and find a good DJ, forget about birds, booze, friends or any of that ****. Plus you never know yer luck you could potentially get in a punch up with a student as a bonus.
