Just wanted to say it before I go to bed, but yeah, I'm proud (of course I won't post it though; sorry for the teaser.) Anyone else happy with what they've done, if you have it completed yet?

Yes, but is one not biased toward one's own dialect?

I was proud of my original personal statement before it was branded as 'risky' by the teacher editing it. I was greatful for the help though!

It wouldn't be good to come off as desperate, I think.
Perhaps just appreciation for their offer, and perhaps some teasing?

I can tell when something is a job well done though.

Make sure both your teacher and you are happy with it, I suppose. If you don't like what the teacher has changed, then there might be something wrong.

Yep, but now I'm worrying about the grades too much! (Actually probably rightly so.)

Oh no, this was a few years ago now, and I went with the teacher's changes but left tiny bits unchanged.

I wrote things like aspiring to create a Spongebob society at university or something I've liked about maths is the wordy questions in Stats exams at A-level where the examiner can show off their creativity/imagination etc.

After grinding through 10+ drafts and watching your statement develop and refine to its final form does incite some feeling of proudness.

Yeah, it's only after x so many drafts that I feel it. My original ones sounded forced and as awkward as hell, but as I was pressurised to rewrite certain things, add loads and cut certain things down, everything became a lot more concise, and as a by-product, I took all the bad sentences out (when trying to make room in all my jarble and ramblings, which I wouldn't have recognised before.) A lot of useless sentences before.

He brags about his igloo and his family all the time. Meh.
