The energy required to break the covalent bonds between oxygen atoms in hydrogen peroxide (H202) IS 146KJ/mol whereas the energy required to break the bonds between oxygen atoms in oxygen gas (02) is 496KJ/mol. Account for the difference between these values.

Here's my question, hope I'm allowed to do this.

'Calculate the PH of the solution formed when 10.0cm^3 of 0.154 moldm^-3 hydrochloric acid are added to 990cm^3 of water.'

I don't know what formula I'm required to use. Could anybody just guide me on how to start without giving too much away/something? Ive checked the mark scheme but it doesn't seem to make much sense.
