not sure where to put this...
I claims universal credit in the summer and told the job centre I was going in to my honours year sept. I stated this in writing. I claimed over £600 in two months. I am 31 I stay at home with my mum. I signed on & done what the job centre expected of me. I thought I was entitled to this. Now they want it back? How can a student pay this? I'm full time and doing a masters next year. Student loans run 9 months of the year. Seems like the job centre people are clueless. When I applied for universal credit I didnt ticked the box 'in education' as it was summer and uni closes. Should i appeal this? Huge loop hole in the system...

Put this under money and finance, they'll be more able to help than relationships

You're still a student over the summer and can't claim benefits.

You'll need to pay it back.

Student loans cover you for the summer, hence receiving a bit more in the third term. You will need to pay it back.
